Joyful Community Services, Inc.
Serving Our Community
Our Story
The ministry of Joyful Community Services started when one of my community members said, "The children around here need to go somewhere..." Then she looked at me and said, "And you can take them somewhere!" Of course this was a surprise to me, that she thought that way of me. Then the Lord confirmed it, so here we are, years later, still going!
In 2014, the Lord placed on my heart to have it established as a non-profit organization, and therefore, giving me the name “Joyful Community Services”. With an indication that our community would work together! I quickly realized it was not for me to do it all by myself, nor could I, but to seek support from others.
Some children and youth are given an opportunity to earn an expense paid trip because of their good behavior and good grades at school. Hopefully, this way they will study harder and look forward to being rewarded during the summer.
The purpose of this ministry is to also provide for others in need. This may be a one-time assistance with car repairs, rent, or school clothing for children, and providing trips that are both educational and fun. Therefore, I have adopted the word “PECK” which shows that by our community working together we can help others, one “PECK” at a time!
P = Provision provides access!E = Exposure creates new vision!C = Courage stimulates changes!K = Knowledge enhances power!

As a Minister, she was licensed in 2007 and ordained in 2009 by the late Rev. James Jenkins, Jr. of Macedonia Baptist Church in Hardeeville, SC.
What a diverse background! Her "profession" was in accounting, she worked in the school system, in both Georgia and South Carolina, from grades pre-k to 12. Her "vocation" now is serving others that are in need.
